Do you want to make goals that actually come to pass? Are you one to make New Year’s resolutions and then realize that none of them actually happened by the end of the next year? It has happened to all of us. Here are my top THREE tips for making S.M.A.R.T. (Simple, Manageable, Actions, Ready to Tackle) goals that really work!
1) Write it down: Use a vision board, post it notes, a journal or download this SMART GOALS worksheet. The physical act of writing down your goal makes it more real in your life and becomes easier to manifest. Give it a try. Write them down and keep them where you can see them frequently.
2) Use affirmative statements: (in goal setting and in daily life). Be sure to use present tense verbs like “I AM” and try your best to act “AS IF” you have already accomplished the goal. Be sure to not only think about how grateful you are for the now, but for the “what is to come” goal or dream you are trying to manifest. Use affirmations and focus on gratitude daily.
3) Do NOT focus on the “how” but rather focus on the “what”: Focusing on the “how” will sometimes cripple us and not allow us to put our energy into visualizing the goal we are trying to manifest into reality. Getting your thoughts wrapped up in the details of how things will happen will literally stop you from doing anything. The how will come, but don’t spend all of you energy thinking on it…think on and visualize the WHAT.
Here is to a great 2018! Start writing those goals and let’s make this happen!
